Visiting the embassy?
If you want to visit the Embassy, please phone us on +358 (0)9 2286 5100 to arrange an appointment at least 24 hours in advance of the day on which you wish to come.
You must provide your full name and date of birth and you should also bring photographic ID with you to show to the Security Guards. If you are going to be accompanied by anyone including children, close family relatives or friends you must also ensure that you provide their details as well. If you do not, they will not be admitted to the Embassy and you will have to make a new appointment.
If you have to come for an interview you must also ensure that you bring someone to supervise your children while you are being interviewed. They will not be permitted into the interview with you. If you need to travel a long distance to the visa office, please contact us before you start your journey.
Visa applicants
Visa applicants who arrive at the Embassy without a prior online appointment will not be accepted. All visa applicants must have the following documents when they come to apply for their visa:
- a valid passport
- one passport photograph
- the appropriate visa fee in cash
- a completed application form
- all supporting documents.
Visa applications cannot be processed without these documents. Visa applicants arriving at the Embassy without these documents will not be admitted to the Visa Section.
Other visitors
Other visitors to other sections of the Embassy should also make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance.

Security check
All visitors must go through an identity and security check. You will have to leave all mobile phones and other electronic equipment at the gatehouse. Because of limited storage space, please avoid bringing in large bags or prams. You will need to go through a metal detector and may have to be inspected closer with a hand-held detector.
